Mitchel L. Friedman, DDS, FAGD, FDOCS
Dr. Friedman graduated from Middletown High School North in 1976 and earned a Bachelors degree from Rutgers College four years later. In 1984, he graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in the top 15% of his class. He moved back to Monmouth County to attend the General Practice Residency Program at Monmouth Medical Center . After starting his own practice, he performed over 500 hours of post-graduate continuing education to obtain his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 1990. He is currently an attending doctor on staff and part-time clinical instructor at the Monmouth Medical Center . He is a member of the New Jersey Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Society of Anesthesia, Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society, Fellow Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthesia and Fellow Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
Dr. Friedman keeps his finger on the pulse of dental technology by regularly taking dental continuing education courses (300% more than the NJ State Board of Dentistry requires.), subscribing to the International Dental Forum and staying current with dental literature. When he is not helping his patients, he can be found working on his 1972 MG-B or doing home repairs. He is active in scuba diving, skiing and ice skating with his family. His wife Adrienne is on sabbatical as a high school science teacher to raise their three children, Gillian, Jared and Hannah.

Harihar Kumar, BDS, DDS
Dr. Kumar is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, and also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association and the Middlesex County Dental society. He started his Dental Education in Bangalore, India, where he completed his dental degree in 2001, recognized by the Dental Council of India. Willing to continue his studies, he came to the United States, and gained admission as an Advanced Placement student at NYU College of Dentistry. There he completed his DDS in 2005 and was placed among the top 1/5th of his class. Continuing his pursuit, he finished a year of General Practice Residency at Monmouth Medical Center where he learned advanced dental concepts under the tutelage of Dr. Mitchel Friedman and many other experienced dentists from New Jersey. At the conclusion of his program he won a prize for excellence in research (Betty Weinstein Memorial Award). Dr. Kumar is a certified Invisalign (invisible braces) provider and has a permit to provide Conscious Sedation in NJ.
Dr Kumar is an able, proficient and skilled practitioner with expert communication skills.
He is passionate about dentistry and strives to provide the highest quality of care to his patients and towards this endeavor continues to keep himself abreast of the latest dental techniques.
Julie- Dental Hygienist
Julie is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has worked with Dr. Friedman since 1996. Her goal is to help you prevent periodontal disease, the #1 cause of premature tooth loss in adults. Julie will partner with you to create a dental healthcare plan that will result in a lifetime of strong, healthy teeth.
Jean - Dental Assistant
Jean has been with Dr. Friedman since 1991. She is Certified and Registered with the State of New Jersey as a Dental Assistant. Her expertise in insurance, finances, infection control, dental procedures, home healthcare and all other aspects of the dental office enable her to provide the best and highest quality of dental services to you and your family.
Roxanne - Dental Assistant
Roxanne is committed to helping patients smile again. She is Certified and Registered with the State of New Jersey as a Dental Assistant.
Linda - Dental Assistant
Linda has been with Newman Springs Dental Care since 1996. She is Certified and Registered with the State of New Jersey as a Dental Assistant. Her goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible and answer any questions you may have concerning your dental health.
